Home / WV Route 9 Path Connectivity Plan (2026)

  • June 24, 2026

This study aims evaluated and proposed solutions for connecting the WV Route 9 Path from its current eastern terminus at Currie Road to Charles Town Skate Park through the Cities of Ranson and Charles Town.  The goal is to enhance the safety, accessibility, and connectivity of the bike path network, promoting sustainable transportation and recreational opportunities.  Through coordination with a steering committee, community stakeholders and the public, alignment alternatives were developed and assessed resulting in a preferred alignment that addresses safety, feasibility, cost, and community priorities.
