PUBLIC NOTICE: The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle MPO hereby notifies all interested persons that proposed revisions to the Public Participation Plan (PPP), that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV, are available for review and comment.
The PPP outlines the process for involving the public in the MPO’s transportation planning and programming activities.
The public comment period will begin on March 28, 2025 and end on May 20, 2025. Copies may be obtained on the MPO website here; and are on display at the Washington County Free Library, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library and Charles Town Library. Written comments may be mailed to the HEPMPO’s office (c/o Deb Eckard, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742), sent via email to mmullenax@hepmpo.net or submitted on-line at www.hepmpo.net/contact. PUBLIC NOTICE: The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO), in partnership with the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority (EPTA), hereby notifies all interested persons of potential service changes for consideration into the Draft Transit Development Plan will be presented for public review and comment.
EPTA is currently undergoing a Transit Development Plan update effort to better utilize existing transit resources and determine ways to expand public transit coverage within and beyond its existing service area in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV over the next five years.
Two public meetings on the proposed service changes will be held in the area from 5:00-6:30pm: (1) April 2 – Charles Town Library in County Commission Meeting Room and (2) April 3 – Martinsburg Police Department in George Karos Community Room. Both meeting have a virtual option to join. A formal presentation will be posted online and given at the public meetings.
The public comment period will begin on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 and end on Friday, May 2, 2025.
