PUBLIC NOTICE: The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO) hereby notifies all interested persons that the proposed FY 2026 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for the Hagerstown, MD-WV-PA-VA Urban Area, that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV, is available for review and comment. The UPWP identifies transportation planning activities for highway, transit and other related services that are to be conducted during the 2026 fiscal year in the metropolitan planning area.
Copies of the draft UPWP are available online at the website here; on display at the Washington County Free Library in Hagerstown, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library, and the Charles Town Library.
The public comment period will begin on Friday, April 18, 2025 and end on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Written comments may be mailed to HEPMPO, Attn: Deb Eckard, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742, sent via e-mail to mmullenax@hepmpo.net or submitted online at www.hepmpo.net/contact. PUBLIC NOTICE: The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle MPO hereby notifies all interested persons that proposed revisions to the Public Participation Plan (PPP), that is in Washington County, MD and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV, are available for review and comment. The PPP outlines the process for involving the public in the MPO’s transportation planning and programming activities.
The public comment period will begin on March 28, 2025 and end on May 20, 2025. Copies may be obtained on the MPO website here; and are on display at the Washington County Free Library, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Library and Charles Town Library.
