The TIP is used to identify transportation projects and strategies HEPMPO will pursue over the next four years. These projects reflect the investment priorities detailed in the LRTP. All projects receiving Federal funding must be in the TIP. The Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority, Washington County Transit and Maryland Transit Administration use the TIP development process of HEPMPO to satisfy public hearing requirements of 49 U.S.C. Section 5307(b). The TIP public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comment on the TIP satisfies the program-of-projects requirements of the Urbanized Area Formula Program.
